Born in Portsmouth, VA

Lives & works in Pensacola, FL

 

Jenea received her BFA in Digital Art and BA in Graphic Design in 2015 from the University of West Florida.  She is currently the on staff Creative at the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County.  Her work has been exhibited in juried and invitational exhibitions in Pensacola, FL.  She is the recipient of a 2014 Mabee Foundation Grant, a 2015 OUR Student Research Grant, a 2015 Artel Student Grant and a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

 

Jenea creates photographic works that examine everyday objects from a unique perspective.  Her artwork explores the relationship between photography and painting through process, often creating hybrid works that incorporate mixed media.  In addition, Jenea is also undertaking a personal family introspective investigating the legacy she leaves through heredity. Jenea’s work redefines the way the everyday is seen, to expose beauty in things that are commonly overlooked.
